The Peak is a great spot for breakfast or lunch. They offer different specials everyday for lunch and I would have to say I make frequent stops here. The food is always fresh and flavorful. I also think the staff is very friendly.
The prices are also reasonable and the food is quality.
I will forever be a fan of The Peak!! -

The coffee is okay, but beware of bringing an odd tasting latte back. I once had a latte, with potentially expired milk, and the barista was snarky about re-making the latte. Her exact words were, "well I've made a million lattes all day and nobody else has come back to have them re-made." She reluctantly made the latte after I confirmed that yes, indeed, the latte didn't taste good. I've bought coffee from Peak many times before and it was fine. However, after this experience, I refuse to come back. I would suggest getting coffee from Diva Espresso instead. They are right up the street; much better espresso & baristas are less rude.

Not certain what sort of espresso they use but rather coffee is hand-packed. Great administration and sandwiches. For the most part doctor's facility workers and patients going back.

Done with this place.
It's the only convenient place for coffee in the neighborhood where I work: it's in the lobby of my building. So on the rare occasions that I want a coffee when I get to the office (I normally have a coupla cups, or a few cups of tea, at home) this is the place I come.
It's always, always been shambolically slow. The sandwiches have always been chintzy, with very little meat. And it's always been pricey for what you get.
But this week I just gave up.
When I want a coffee in the morning I want three shots of decaf, over ice, in a 16 ounce glass. At Starbucks, or Diva Espresso, that would cost me whatever three shots cost. At the Peak, the last few times I've stopped in, they've insisted that what I am ordering is an Americano, and charging me accordingly - that is, a buck more.
Three shots over ice isn't an Americano. I looked it up! (I was unsure, because I don't speak Poncy Coffee.) Three shots over ice is THREE SHOTS. But they insist on insisting loudly that I am ordering an Americano and charging me a buck more. Plus the irritating $0.25 charge for ordering something that costs under five bucks.
I dunno. It's just aggravating and crappy, and today, I snapped. Not going back there again. -

Even though their doors open at 7:00, if you aren't a hospital employee, you can't get in until 7:30, because the medical center doors are locked-so I walked several blocks to discover I couldn't get any coffee or breakfast yet. Very misleading, and disappointing
